Due to unwelcome circumstances, I was able to do a not so finished project.
The narrative project that I've worked on is based on a show called Dr. Who. Instead of using the actual characters from the series I decided to replace them with my pets. Dr. F and M, they are actual animals so please they won't give you an autograph! (hahaha).
What I tried to accomplish on the narrative is to make the viewer select their way into different scenarios; the doors will lead to the end of a planet, or to a fight against the most hated villain.
So I hope you enjoy this tiny bit of my work. I will be posting the finished product soo!
Dr. F and M's traveling in to another time.
P.S. I also might mention, having big vector art is not wanted on Flash (keeps force closing), so the second route to import my gigantic environment was to rasterize them (a horrific view).
Great start! I love the black charcoal or super thick scratchy line aesthetic. I can't really say what to improve though until you finish it. I'll just say I owe you a critic for now.
ReplyDeleteIts hard to judge because its incomplete. I like the idea behind it but I cant adequately critique. I kept getting stuck in what I am guessing is the final scene that you actually animated. I do like the characters.
ReplyDeleteNice drawings and sets. So far as I can tell I like your characters ( I love cats) and I can't wait to see the finished product. I enjoy the code that transforms on the first page I would just have to say that the font choice for the writing after it transforms is hard to read.
ReplyDeleteI really like your idea. Your imagery is great and I love all the bright colors and movement. I can't wait to see it finished!
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that the style i consistant throughout the narrative and even though there are flat colors I can sense depth.
ReplyDeleteFor improvement I would say that you could use more motion to make things livelier.
I enjoyed the first scene. The illustrations where drawn nicely and the choice of color was very nice. The start of the mission was fun when it swurled. It seems to be at a good start for your Interactive Narrative.
ReplyDeleteGreat work so far, I really enjoy the mix of vector and hand drawn work. Your buttons work very nicely, the hit states are large and noticeable and make for easy navigation but them being not finished led me down a couple dead ends. Your backstory and characters are well illustrated and I look forward to seeing the finish product.
ReplyDeleteI love the drawings! The cat looks really neat! In the last panel, where you are observing the planet, the back arrow does not work. I can't wait until it is finished!
ReplyDeleteI like your theme and your aesthetic. The text in the beginning is a little difficult to read (after it changes to English) mainly because of all the colors behind it. Otherwise, it's looking good )
